Proactive early, do not follow the trend

Right from the beginning of 2026, based on surveying the actual needs of each group of union members and workers, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union has proactively connected and signed agreements with health units with affiliated grassroots Trade Union organizations to deploy health care activities for union members and workers.

This approach creates a clear difference. Instead of each activity being a single mobilization of resources, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union has formed an "ecosystem" for health care, in which health units become long-term companions. Thanks to this, activities not only take place continuously but also have professional depth.

In particular, there are hundreds of vouchers for examination, treatment and disease screening connected by the Trade Union from hospitals with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND, helping union members and workers have the opportunity to access quality medical services without having to bear cost pressure.

Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union said that the goal of the program is not only immediate support, but also to build active health care habits for workers.

According to Ms. Vy, when the trade union organizes methodically, workers will have easier access and will not be left behind due to time or condition barriers.

Caring for groups of subjects, according to actual needs

Another noteworthy point is that health care activities in Nam Phuoc are designed according to specific target groups, not spread out.

In January 2026, the first health check-up program was organized for business workers, with general check-up and thyroid disease screening contents. Immediately after that, the commune trade union continued to expand to specific labor groups such as fishermen, small traders and female workers...

The organization of examinations, consultations and hepatitis screening for hundreds of fishermen, combined with guidance on living regimes suitable for marine working conditions, shows a practical approach.

For female workers, thyroid cancer screening programs, thematic seminars and medical examination vouchers are also implemented on occasion, such as International Women's Day March 8, helping to raise awareness and detect disease risks early.

Notably, the commune trade union also expanded the beneficiary area to small traders in markets in the area, showing a mindset that is not limited to traditional union members but aims to cover a wider range of labor groups in the area.

According to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, target grouping helps the program go to the right place, meet the needs, avoid waste of resources and increase practical efficiency. Workers are not only examined but also consulted, guided and supported to access treatment when necessary.

To date, the quantified health welfare packages of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union alone have reached over 700 million VND, not to mention professional resources and accompanying support activities. But the greater value lies in the way it is organized through planning, partnerships, and the ability to maintain and expand.

Ms. Lam Thi Vy emphasized that the effectiveness of the program is not only measured by the amount of money or the number of visits, but in creating a sustainable care foundation, helping workers be more proactive with their health.

From the way Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union works, it can be seen that when grassroots trade unions are truly proactive, know how to utilize internal resources and organize methodically, taking care of workers' health is no longer a mass-based task, but becomes a regular, practical and in-depth activity.
