Thang Binh Commune Trade Union, Da Nang effectively implements care programs

On April 12, Thang Binh Commune Trade Union organized a conference to review trade union work in the first quarter, deploy tasks for the second quarter and launch Workers' Month 2026.

Attending the conference were members of the Executive Committee of the Commune Trade Union, Chairmen, heads of the Inspection Committee and heads of women's committees of affiliated grassroots trade unions.

According to the report of the Executive Committee of Thang Binh Commune Trade Union at the conference, in the first quarter of 2026, grassroots trade unions closely followed the political tasks of the locality and unit, effectively organized and implemented patriotic emulation movements, and cared for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.

Propaganda and political and ideological education work is focused on; cultural and sports activities are maintained, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers.

Some outstanding activities include: Giving 79 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to union members and workers heavily affected by floods, helping workers overcome difficulties early, stabilize their lives, and feel secure at work.

Directing grassroots Trade Unions to organize "Trade Union Year-end Meal" Binh Ngo Spring - 2026; organize the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" and Trade Union Tet Market in 2026.

Giving 556 gifts worth 625 million VND; giving 2,530 "Trade Union Tet Market" shopping vouchers, each voucher worth 100 thousand VND; successfully organizing the first mini football tournament for male workers, civil servants and laborers in 2026...

Grassroots trade unions operate unevenly

According to Mr. Vu Thai Son - Chairman of Thang Binh Commune Trade Union, besides the achieved results, in the first quarter of 2026, some grassroots trade unions operated unevenly, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members was sometimes not timely; the content of activities lacked innovation.

On that basis, the conference set out directions and key tasks for the second quarter of 2026, focusing on continuing to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities.

In which, promoting emulation movements associated with the implementation of local political tasks; strengthening care and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; actively participating in building a strong Party and government.

Also at the conference, Thang Binh Commune Trade Union launched Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity" with practical activities, towards grassroots levels, for the benefit of union members and workers.

Key activities include: organizing visits and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances; launching emulation movements for good labor and creative labor; organizing cultural and sports activities; strengthening dialogue and listening to opinions and recommendations of union members and workers.

Speaking at the closing of the conference, Mr. Vu Thai Son - Chairman of Thang Binh Commune Trade Union emphasized the role of the trade union organization in accompanying the government and better caring for the lives of union members and workers.

Mr. Vu Thai Son requested grassroots trade unions to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, and successfully implement the tasks set out in the second quarter and Workers' Month 2026.
