Expanding trade union meals
In 2025, the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Khanh Hoa General Hospital organized "Trade Union Meals" for nearly 200 union members and workers on duty. With a meal worth 50,000 VND, higher than usual, the program brings nutritious meals, while creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
After lunch, many union members expressed their excitement when participating in the activity. During the short lunch break, they had the opportunity to gather together like a family, temporarily putting aside work pressure to regenerate energy.
In the business sector, the program is also maintained effectively in grassroots trade unions. At Long Sinh Co., Ltd., "Trade Union Meal" has become a regular activity every quarter. Close coordination between trade unions and business leaders helps activities become more and more regular, receiving positive responses from employees.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong - Chairwoman of the company's grassroots trade union - said that since the implementation of "Trade Union Meals", workers have become more attached to the business. This is also an opportunity for the two sides to strengthen dialogue and create consensus in the production and business process.
Not stopping at a meal, the program also creates space for employees, unit leaders and Trade Union organizations to meet, dialogue, and share. Thereby, contributing to consolidating trust, strengthening attachment and building harmonious labor relations in enterprises.
Towards each worker being beneficial
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, in the period 2023-2025, Khanh Hoa province has had 1,236 grassroots trade unions organize "Trade Union Meals", with a total budget of more than 2.49 billion VND. From the initial launch model of the Trade Union, many units have maintained it regularly, contributing to improving the quality of lunch meals and improving the lives of workers.
In Workers' Month 2026, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation will launch a peak month to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program with the coordination between trade unions and employers. The activity is organized at a peak in May, associated with major events of the country, and at the same time responding to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health.
A noteworthy point is that the value of meals is increased compared to daily meals, from the support of trade unions, businesses and socialization, while ensuring food safety and hygiene and not affecting production and business activities.
Prioritize the implementation of the program in places with a large number of workers and difficult conditions, aiming for the goal that all workers benefit. In addition to peak hours, activities are also encouraged to be organized on holidays and Tet and towards regular maintenance every month" - Mr. Liem emphasized.
Not only improving the quality of meals, "Trade Union Meals" is gradually becoming a sustainable care model. From here, the program also contributes to building a humane working environment, strengthening the connection and trust of workers in the Trade Union organization and businesses.
