Lao Cai Trade Union exceeds many targets, takes better care of workers

From the beginning of 2026 to now, the work of caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances has been focused on by Lao Cai Trade Union levels in many practical forms.

During the 2026 Lunar New Year, the whole province presented 8,065 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, reaching 269% of the set target.

In addition, the trade union implemented support to build 11 "Trade Union Homes", completing 100% of the plan, helping many families have more support to stabilize their lives.

Not only providing immediate support, care programs also aim at the long-term needs of union members, from housing to employment and social security benefits.

Along with caring for and developing union members, it continues to be one of the key tasks. Trade union levels have newly admitted 1,559 union members, reaching 104% of the target.

Women's work also recorded outstanding results when 29 Mass Women's Committees were established, reaching 580% of the plan.

This is a force that contributes to grasping the thoughts and aspirations of female workers, and at the same time deploying activities to care for and propagate about gender equality, family and the rights of female union members.

Another highlight is the work of creating sources for Party development. Trade union levels have introduced 356 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, nurture, and admit, reaching 356% of the target.

Social insurance benefits are also focused on by the trade union. Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation has coordinated with the social insurance agency to supervise 52% of businesses that are reflected as being late in paying or not paying social insurance, exceeding 50% of the plan.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, the above results show the proactiveness and decisiveness of Trade Union levels in concretizing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TU of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.

The targets are associated with practical tasks, prioritizing the lives, jobs and rights of union members and workers.

From the achieved results, Lao Cai Trade Union continues to direct activities to the grassroots level, innovate methods of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
