Lam Dong - The Provincial Red Cross Society sets a target to mobilize at least 8 billion VND to support the poor and vulnerable in the Humanitarian Month of 2026.
On May 6, the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society launched the 2026 Humanitarian Month with the theme "80 years - Journey of Compassion for the Community".

According to the plan, Humanitarian Month takes place from May 1st to 31st, peak period from May 8th to 19th, and is implemented throughout the province.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Association said that the Association aims to mobilize organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to contribute funds and in-kind items with a total value of at least 8 billion VND to support the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups.

This resource will be used for practical assistance, contributing to helping households reduce difficulties, stabilize their lives and develop the economy.
During the Humanitarian Month, associations at all levels will promote the propaganda of humanitarian values and Ho Chi Minh's ideology on humanitarian work; and at the same time mobilize resources to support disadvantaged people, especially poor households and ethnic minorities.

In addition, synchronous activities are being implemented such as the "Red Blood Drops - Summer" campaign in 2026, organizing social security programs, policy advocacy and raising social awareness about humanitarian activities.
On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society presented Red Cross houses to disadvantaged households, awarded scholarships to poor and studious students, and organized the "0-dong Fair" in the locality. At the same time, it received the support of organizations and individuals in response to the 2026 Humanitarian Month.
