More than 202,000 typical women honored from emulation movements
In the past term, the implementation of the Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Vietnam Women's Union (Union) has achieved many important results.

In caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and women, the Association has effectively promoted its role in arousing the potential and creativity of women; promoting emulation in learning, creative labor, preserving the good cultural traditions of the nation, contributing to building Vietnamese people in the new era.
Association levels closely follow the direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, proactively deploy many emulation movements and practical campaigns, encouraging members and women to participate in studying, creative labor, economic development and building a cultural life at the grassroots level.
The movements are concretized by appropriate criteria and targets, associated with the socio-economic development tasks of each locality and unit.
During the term, the Associations at all levels mobilized resources to build and repair 15,785 "Houses of Compassion" with a total budget of nearly 656.5 billion VND; supported people affected by natural disasters and responded to the Day for the Poor with nearly 705 billion VND.
The "Parental Caregiver" program mobilized more than 657.3 billion VND, with more than 35,000 parental caregivers supporting 48,021 orphans in difficult circumstances. The "Accompanying Border Women" program mobilized 294 billion VND, contributing to improving the lives of women in border areas, remote and isolated areas.
Through emulation movements and prestigious awards, the Association has honored, propagated and replicated more than 202,000 advanced examples, creating motivation to spread the spirit of innovation and aspiration to rise up among all classes of women.
In which, the Kovalevskaia Award was awarded to 1 collective, 7 individuals; the Vietnamese Women's Award was awarded to 14 typical collectives, 42 individuals.
Vietnamese women with more than 50.7 million people, accounting for nearly 50.6% of the country's population, are increasingly affirming their potential, role and important position in the family and society.
