Launching Workers' Month, commending 65 typical workers of the oil and gas industry

On May 8, the Trade Union of Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam) organized a ceremony to commend typical workers and launch Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2026 in Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice Chairman of the VGCL; leaders of Petrovietnam Group and a large number of union members and oil and gas workers...

With the theme "Innovation and innovation, improving labor productivity", Petrovietnam's Workers' Month 2026 takes place with many practical and meaningful activities, widely deployed in trade union levels such as: propaganda peak period in Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health; program of dialogue with workers; "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" festival; peak month promoting the innovation movement, developing union members and party members; caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, and labor accidents...

VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility, professional style, discipline and professional capacity of Petrovietnam's workers; at the same time, congratulated 65 typical workers who were commended.

According to VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan, Workers' Month 2026 is of particular importance, so the activities of Petrovietnam Trade Union need to be organized more substantively and effectively, bringing practical value to workers and businesses.

In addition, the Trade Union not only focuses on caring for the material and spiritual life, giving gifts to workers, but also must focus on training and improving qualifications, skills, and expertise so that workers can maximize their capacity and contribute to the development of businesses and the country.

In the coming time, Petrovietnam Trade Union needs to continue to strongly innovate, effectively launch the movements "good labor, creative labor", encourage workers to be creative, contribute ideas, and improve labor productivity... Thereby, continue to affirm the bravery and intelligence of "Fire Seekers" and Petrovietnam Group.

On this occasion, the VGCL also awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective, which is the grassroots Trade Union of Nhon Trach Petroleum Power Joint Stock Company; and 2 outstanding individuals in the emulation movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring safety and labor hygiene" in 2025.

Delegates jointly performed the ceremony to launch Workers' Month 2026; commended 65 typical Petrovietnam workers to honor direct production and business workers, and frontline workers with outstanding achievements at Petrovietnam member units.
