Bonuses of billions of VND for employees with initiatives to improve production
In 2020, 2 Samsung factories in Vietnam rewarded 500 million VND for employee initiatives, by 2025, this figure will reach more than 7 billion VND.
Trade unions accompany, businesses promote initiatives among workers
In the period 2020-2025, the Trade Union of two factories Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) participate in accompanying businesses to promote creative initiatives among workers with specific activities.
In 2021, when the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) launched the program "75,000 initiatives, overcoming difficulties, developing", the SEV and SEVT Trade Union coordinated with the Customer Service Department (CS Management) to select more than 60 typical and most suitable initiatives to participate in. The SEVT Trade Union also awarded prizes to these typical initiatives in addition to the initiative award according to the company's policy.
From the end of 2021 - the end of 2023, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continued to implement the program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic", SEVT had 4,500 initiatives, SEV contributed 2,000 initiatives.
To encourage union members and employees to contribute to improvement initiatives, in addition to rewards according to company policies, SEVT Trade Union also rewards with equivalent rewards for initiatives that are evaluated at the 3 highest levels in the 5-level evaluation scale for improvement of the Company.
From 2024, the trade union implements the honoring program "Good Labor, Creative Labor". Accordingly, on the occasion of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union annually, the SEV and SEVT Trade Unions reward union members who have innovation initiatives that bring high profit value.
Along with that, the trade unions of the two factories are also bridges and information channels to encourage workers to participate in mobilization, propaganda and emulation programs for creative innovation launched and implemented by the Provincial Labor Federation.
In the period 2020-2025, there are more than 380,000 improvement ideas
With the nomination of SEV and SEVT Trade Unions, many outstanding union members have received awards from the provincial level and above in the period 2020-2025. Notably, at SEVT, 2 union members received the Nguyen Duc Canh Award; 1 union member was honored in the Vinh Quang Viet Nam Program; 3 union members received Certificates of Merit for their outstanding achievements in the movement "1 million initiatives - striving to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Along with that, at SEV, 3 union members received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in the Program "75,000 initiatives, overcoming difficulties, development"; 4 individuals received Certificates of Merit "Good labor - Creative labor" from the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.

In the period 2020-2025 alone, more than 380,000 large and small improvement ideas have been put forward by SEV and SEVT employees to improve production as well as improve work efficiency. These initiatives bring the company hundreds of millions of USD in profit each year.
To encourage and motivate labor, the Company ranks improvements according to the level of effectiveness and benefits that the improvement brings. From there, the bonus level for improvements is also based on these levels of effectiveness. Thanks to promoting the movement to encourage initiatives and improvements, the number of ideas of SEV and SEVT employees has always increased annually. As a result, the bonus amount for employees in the improvement activities of the two factories has also increased sharply year by year, from nearly 500 million VND in 2020 to more than 7 billion VND in 2025.
