Vietnamese farmers join hands to build modern new rural areas
As a socio-political organization of the peasant class, the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union (Union) always deeply understands its role and responsibility in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system; proactively and actively effectively implementing the Front's action programs in the past term, making an important contribution to consolidating the great national unity bloc.
The emulation movements launched by the Association are closely linked to the Front's program, creating a widespread spread. Typical is the movement "Farmers emulation in good production and business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably".
On average, each year, the Association levels mobilize more than 6.5 million households to register, of which more than 3.4 million households achieve the title of good production and business at all levels. The Association also guided the establishment of 705 clubs of good farmers in production and business; mobilized well-off and good households to support 56,786 poor and difficult households to rise out of poverty.
In the past two years, the Associations at all levels have mobilized, guided, and supported the establishment of 1,028 agricultural cooperatives, 5,225 cooperative groups, attracting nearly 1.3 million member households and farmers to participate in collective economic models.
Responding to the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the Associations at all levels have mobilized over 6 million farming households to register to build cultural families...
The Association also contributed to supporting the repair and new construction of nearly 40,000 houses for poor households and families with meritorious services to the revolution. In 2025, the Central Association continued to support nearly 200 million VND through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and at the same time mobilized more goods, seedlings, and supplies worth over 5 billion VND.
Association levels also mobilize members to participate in social security policies, with 18.6 million members and farmers participating in health insurance; nearly 257,000 members participating in voluntary social insurance.
In addition, the Vietnam Farmers' Union continues to mobilize members to participate in the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; donate land, contribute money and working days to build new rural areas and modern new rural areas.
The farming class has about 9.1 million households, accounting for 44.17% of households in rural areas and 1/3 of the country's population, and is the core force in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction.
