1. 136 official delegates attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
On the afternoon of May 11, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, the first session of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), term 2026-2031 (Congress) took place.
Attending the first session of the Congress were Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Chairwoman of the Central Committee (CC) of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Ha Thi Khiet - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, Non-specialized Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Non-specialized Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X.
Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, former members of the Party Central Committee; alternate members of the Party Central Committee; delegates of central committees, ministries, branches, and mass organizations; Vice Chairmen, former Vice Chairmen; members of the Presidium, former members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress is an event of important socio-political significance, demonstrating the strength of the great national unity bloc in the new era, taking place immediately after the success of the 14th National Party Congress and the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. The Congress is a historical milestone, opening the term of operating a new apparatus with a new position, stature and development path after completing the policy of arranging socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress identified directions, goals and action programs for the 2026 - 2031 term to meet the requirements of reality. At the same time, affirming the political core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building and promoting patriotic traditions, the strength of great national unity, joining hands and hearts with the entire Party, army, and nation to successfully implement the goals of national development to 2030, vision to 2045, and achieve achievements to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930 - 2030), and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (1930 - 2030).
At the Congress, the Executive Committee of the Congress was elected with 33 members, the Secretariat of the Congress was 3 members; and the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress were approved.

Reporting on the situation of delegates attending the Congress, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union Le Thi Thuy said, Based on Directive No. 48-CT/TW dated June 24, 2025 of the Secretariat on leading the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, towards the National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2031; Project No. 02/DA-MTTW-UB dated August 28, 2025 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organizing the National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2031; Project No. 04/DA-MTTW-BTT, dated October 15, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on Delegates attending the National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2031; Resolution No. 09/NQ-MTTW dated April 13. 2026 of the 7th Conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front respectfully reports on the situation of official delegates attending the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031, with the following number, structure, and age:
The total number of official delegates convened to attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031 is 1. 136 delegates. Natural delegates: 362 delegates (member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X).
Delegates elected: 705 delegates (of which, member organizations at the Central level elected 129 delegates; Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of provinces and cities consulted and elected 576 delegates).

Appointed delegates - total number: 69 delegates (introduced for the first time to participate in the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front including: 11 representatives of member organizations; 2 Provincial-level Fatherland Front Chairmen; 24 intellectuals and experts; 4 representatives of the Workers, Farmers, Armed Forces structure; 11 ethnic minorities; 5 religious dignitaries; 6 people from economic sectors; 1 person who is a Vietnamese residing abroad; 5 people who are full-time officials of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front). Structure:
- Female delegates: 381 positions (33.5%);
- Deputies who are non-Party members: 528 positions (46.4%);
- Delegates who are ethnic minorities: 274 positions (24.1%);
- Religious delegates: 207 (ratio 18.2%);
- Delegates who are overseas Vietnamese: 17 positions (1.6%);
- Delegates who are businesses: 157 positions (13.8%);
- Delegates who are full-time Front officials: 360 positions (31.6%);
- Oldest delegate: 97 years old, born in 1929 - Major General Vo So, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association of Vietnam.
Youngest delegate: 23 years old, born in 2003 - Ms. Lo Thi Nga, typical individual, Lao ethnic person, Muong Luan 1 village, Muong Luan commune, Dien Bien province.
