More than 300 athletes participate in the Quang Ninh Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations sports festival
Quang Ninh - May 9, more than 300 athletes participated in the 2026 Sports Festival of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province.
The sports festival is organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province at the Sports Training and Competition House of Ha Long ward.
The sports festival is organized to practically celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026); towards celebrating the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for the 2026-2031 term.
Participating in this year's Sports Festival are more than 300 athletes from 13 teams belonging to agencies and units in the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass organizations of the province and localities.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes entered a lively competition in the following sports: tug of war, badminton, table tennis, Chinese chess and pickleball.
With the spirit of solidarity, honesty and high determination, the athletes dedicated many attractive and dramatic matches, attracting enthusiastic cheers from a large number of officials, union members, association members and audiences present at the gymnasium.
The sports festival will last until the end of May 10, 2026.
