Vinh Long Trade Union Congress held its first session

On the morning of December 16, at the Vinh Long Provincial Conference Center, the first working session of the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, took place.

Attending the congress were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee,...

In particular, there were 298/300 official delegates - who are exemplary union officials and union members, outstanding in union activities; representing the will and aspirations of over 169,000 union members and workers in the whole province.

At the first working session, the Congress voted to elect the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegation status Inspection Committee; approved the Congress's working program and regulations.

The Congress also listened to a summary report on the results of the activities of the Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union in the period of 2023 - 2025 and the direction and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term; at the same time, listened to the review report of the Executive Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation in the period of 2023 - 2025.

The Congress also listened to reports on the synthesis of opinions from union members and delegates at trade union congresses at all levels on the documents of the First Provincial Trade Union Congress, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and contributions to the draft amendments and supplements to the Trade Union Charter; along with synthesizing and proposing opinions from union members, workers, civil servants and laborers.

At the same time, focus on discussing and advising on the theme: "Working to develop union members, building a team of union officials to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation contributes to building a strong union organization".

Another topic discussed is: "Grassroots trade unions effectively use union financial resources to effectively care for the lives of union members and workers".

The topics discussed include: "Lections from practice"; "Emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" among union members and workers, arousing the spirit of creative work and the desire to rise up".

Another content is: "Coordination between the Economic Zone Management Board and the Provincial Labor Federation in resolving issues of labor relations and employment in industrial parks and economic zones of Vinh Long province"...

In the afternoon, the Congress continued to work in the session to announce the decisions appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Chairman of the Federation of Labor and approved the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, term 2025 - 2030.
