Supporting 140 million VND to build a trade union shelter for coal industry workers in Quang Ninh

Authorized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV), representatives of leaders and the Trade Union of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV in coordination with local authorities have just organized the handover of "Trade Union Shelter" to the family of Ms. Pham Thi Thao.

Ms. Thao is a worker at the Coal Refining - Drying Workshop, Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV.

In 2025, from the support of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited, Ms. Thao's family was supported with 90 million VND; Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - TKV additionally supported 50 million VND, helping Ms. Thao's family complete the house.

Ms. Thao is a single worker, and for many years she has had to rent a room with her young child.

In addition to working hours at the unit, she takes advantage of working extra to increase her income, gradually accumulating to build a house.

After a period of saving and nurturing, along with the support of the trade union and company colleagues, Ms. Thao's family's new house has now been completed and spacious, helping her family stabilize their accommodation.

The "Trade Union Shelter" program is a practical activity, showing the concern of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult circumstances; and at the same time contributing to the good implementation of social security work in enterprises.

Each "Trade Union Shelter" given not only carries material value but also spreads the spirit of sharing and accompanying workers to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.
