Dong Thap cares for more than 315,000 union members and workers in a quarter

The conference was held directly at the Provincial Labor Federation Hall (My Tho ward) and online at the Provincial Labor Federation Hall in Cao Lanh ward.

Attending were representatives of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province. In the first quarter of 2026, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation synchronously deployed many activities to care for and protect the rights of union members, workers, and laborers (TUs, workers, and laborers), achieving many positive results. Notably, trade union levels in the province have supported more than 350,000 turns of TUs, workers, and laborers with a total budget of over 91.3 billion VND.

According to the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, and laborers continues to be focused on. Trade unions at all levels have coordinated to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor laws, salary regimes, social insurance, and occupational safety and health at enterprises.

At the same time, actively participating in dialogue, negotiation, and signing collective labor agreements, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations. Timely participating in handling 2 collective work stoppages with nearly 6,000 workers. After dialogue, recommendations related to salaries, bonuses, and working conditions were resolved, and workers returned to work stably.

The work of caring for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 is widely deployed with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet". Trade union levels have organized visits and gifts to more than 211,000 people with an amount of over 75.7 billion VND; supported bus tickets, awarded "Trade Union Homes", organized year-end meals, and many other practical activities.

In addition, many large-scale programs such as "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Online Trade Union Tet Market" were organized, attracting a large number of union members, workers, and laborers to participate. Specifically, programs in industrial parks have mobilized businesses to support Tet gifts with a total value of over 31 billion VND, contributing to bringing a joyful and warm atmosphere to laborers.

Propaganda and mobilization activities are also promoted in many diverse forms, from direct to digital platforms such as social networks, websites, infographics... The content focuses on the Party's guidelines, legal policies, major events and trade union activities, helping to raise awareness and create consensus among union members and workers.

The patriotic emulation movement continues to spread, associated with the theme "Innovation and creativity - Promoting digital transformation". Many initiatives and technical improvements are applied in production, contributing to improving productivity and work efficiency. Organizational work achieved positive results when 3,507 new union members were developed, bringing the total number to more than 201,800 union members. Models such as "Self-managed worker groups in boarding houses" continue to be effective, contributing to ensuring security and order and caring for the lives of union members, workers, and laborers.

In the second quarter of 2026, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation determined to continue to promote propaganda, organize Workers' Month, strengthen supervision of labor policy implementation, care for union members in difficult circumstances and develop union members, and establish grassroots trade unions. At the same time, focus on improving the quality of trade union activities, contributing to better protecting the rights and improving the lives of union members, workers, and laborers.
