Thanh Nguyen Co., Ltd. tops the list of social insurance debts in Lam Dong
Among businesses in Lam Dong province owing social insurance for 3 months or more, the top of the list is a business operating in the education sector owing 13.4 billion VND in 89 months.
Lam Dong Provincial Social Insurance said that the total amount of social insurance debts of enterprises from 3 months or more to the beginning of September 2026 is more than 82.3 billion VND.
According to the publicly disclosed list, Thanh Nguyen Co., Ltd. leads with a debt of 13.4 billion VND in 89 months. This is a company operating in the field of education.
The Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that Thanh Nguyen Co., Ltd. currently does not have a grassroots trade union. Over the past time, many workers have sent petitions to functional agencies about the situation of enterprises owing social insurance contributions.
Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham - Chairwoman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union - informed that she had worked with the company's leaders when she received feedback from workers. The Trade Union also mobilized workers to calmly resolve the matter.
The Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province has issued a document responding to the workers' petitions related to this case. Accordingly, the provincial Social Insurance has requested Thanh Nguyen Co., Ltd. to urgently remedy the situation of social insurance debt in September 2026 and report in writing the implementation results.
In case the enterprise does not implement or does not fully implement, the Provincial Social Insurance will report to the Provincial People's Committee to establish an inter-sectoral inspection team and handle violations according to regulations.
In the list of the Provincial Social Insurance, in addition to Thanh Nguyen Co., Ltd., the 8 leading units in the list of social insurance debts are all businesses in the eastern region of Lam Dong (formerly Binh Thuan). Such as Tan Ha Investment Co., Ltd. owing 11.3 billion VND; Ky Lan Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company and Greenfield Organic Fertilizer Co., Ltd. also owing more than 8 billion VND.
To recover late payments, in the past time, the Provincial Social Insurance has implemented many measures such as notifying, urging monthly and inviting businesses to work for cases of late payment from 2 months or more, with interest arising.
After the working session, every 10 days, the social insurance agency continues to send a notice. If the business does not cooperate, the official is directly assigned to work and propose inspection.
Mr. Dang Hong Tuan, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Social Insurance, said that from 2018 to now, the unit has transferred 19 dossiers to the Investigation Police Agency. Among them, 8 dossiers are in the form of crime denunciation and 11 dossiers are in the form of prosecution. However, according to the investigation agency's response, most cases do not have enough signs of the crime of evading social insurance contributions because the related factors have not been clarified.
Faced with this situation, many union members and trade union officials proposed that the province have strong solutions to handle the situation of late payment and evasion of social insurance.
Leaders of Lam Dong Provincial Social Insurance have proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct credit institutions and banks where businesses open accounts to deduct and transfer social insurance debt money to the accounts of social insurance agencies without the consent of the account holder.
Provincial Social Insurance also requested the police to coordinate and guide the proposal to prosecute cases with signs of violations under the Penal Code, including Article 216 on the crime of evading social insurance contributions. At the same time, it requested the Provincial People's Procuracy to study piloting regulations on coordination with social insurance agencies to handle cases of late payment and evasion, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
