General rehearsal of Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange

On March 17, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense - chaired the working delegation of the Ministry of National Defense to review the activities within the framework of the 10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

Also attending were Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA); Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of relevant agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense together with localities for actively, proactively, coordinating, and closely coordinating to actively deploy preparations for the Exchange.

Although the preparation time is very tight, agencies, units and departments, branches, and localities have promptly completed all aspects of preparation, contents, and operating programs with good quality, ensuring the successful organization of the 10th Exchange.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang expressed his belief that with careful and thorough preparation, the 10th Exchange will be successful, contributing to promoting cooperation and friendship between border management and protection forces, local authorities and people in the border area of the two countries, contributing to building a Vietnam - China border of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and development.

The 10th Vietnam - China border defense friendship exchange will be held from March 18 to 19, in Quang Ninh province of Vietnam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.

The Vietnamese delegation led by General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense as head of the delegation and the Chinese delegation led by Senior Lieutenant General Dong Quan - Minister of National Defense of China as head of the delegation, will participate in activities taking place in Vietnam (March 18) and in China (March 19).
