Continue to arrange non-local leadership positions

On the morning of January 11, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Party Committee Secretary, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy the direction and tasks in 2026 of the Government Party Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, the Prime Minister stated that 2025 is the last year of the term, a special year for the Government Party Committee, the first time the Government Party Committee has been established, perfected, and put into operation.

The establishment of the Government Party Committee is a major policy of the Central Government, a step of innovation in the Party's leadership method towards the Government; strengthening the Party's comprehensive and direct leadership over the management and operation of the Government.

Ensure unity and synchronization in leading Party building work and implementing political tasks, socio-economic development, national defense and security, foreign affairs, building a socialist rule of law state of Vietnam in the new period with higher requirements and greater goals.

Organizing the implementation of the revolution in reorganizing the apparatus of the political system, the Government Party Committee has led the Government to complete the tasks of summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; issued documents directing, urging, and guiding ministries, branches, and localities to reorganize and streamline the apparatus.

Submit to the National Assembly for approval the Law on Government Organization, Resolution on Government organizational structure; Law on Organization of Local Government... (according to 34 new provincial-level units); resolutely and organize the operation of the 2-level local government model.

The Government Party Committee leads the socio-economic development in 2025 to achieve and exceed all 15/15 main targets; GDP growth reaches 8.02% (belonging to the high group of the region and the world); the scale of the economy reaches about 514 billion USD, ranked 32nd in the world; the average person is estimated to reach about 5,026 USD, belonging to the group of middle-income countries...

Regarding the direction and tasks for 2026, the Government Party Committee has determined to thoroughly grasp and synchronously and strictly implement the regulations on personnel work at all levels.

Deploy new regulations according to the policy of innovating methods of evaluating and evaluating cadres; continue to resolutely, synchronously and effectively implement the policy of arranging non-local leadership positions.

Continue to focus on perfecting the organizational apparatus; Reviewing and arranging public service units, state-owned enterprises and focal points within agencies and organizations in the political system. Implement well the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, and workers affected by organizational and organizational restructuring.

Regarding socio-economic development; administrative reform, handling petitions, preventing corruption, waste and negativity, the Government Party Committee identified key tasks and solutions.

Accordingly, promoting growth, maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, and ensuring major balances. Strive for GDP growth in 2026 to reach 10% or more; GDP per capita to reach 5,400 - 5,500 USD.

Establish a new growth model, restructure the economy, promote industrialization and modernization, take science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force.
