Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum
This morning (January 6), the delegation of Party and State leaders and representatives of generations of National Assembly deputies of different terms visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), this morning, January 6, the delegation of Party and State leaders and representatives of generations of National Assembly deputies of all terms visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Attending the visit were: General Secretary To Lam; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo member, President Luong Cuong; former Politburo member, former President Truong Tan Sang; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former Politburo members, former National Assembly Chairmen: Nguyen Van An, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries; and representatives of generations of National Assembly deputies for each term.
The wreath of the Youth Union bears the words "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh. The National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam". The leaders of the Party, State and delegates expressed their respect and remembered the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the entire Vietnamese nation.

The predecessor of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was the National Assembly of Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang). Based on the decisions of the National Assembly, our people successfully carried out the August Revolution and then on January 6, 1946 held a general election nationwide to elect the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, marking a brilliant milestone in the history of our country.
The victory from the first General Election has opened up the prospect of a new period for the Democratic Republic of Vietnam with a National Assembly, a unified Government and a system of government with full legal status to represent the people in the internal and external affairs affairs affairs.

After 80 years of construction and development, the National Assembly of Vietnam has always accompanied the nation, affirming its especially important role in the turning points of history.
In any circumstances, the National Assembly always fulfills its noble mission, where intelligence, solidarity, and democracy converge with accurate and timely decisions and decisions in all aspects of the law, supreme supervision, and decision on important issues of the country.
Those decisions and policies contribute to the efforts of the entire Party, people and army to achieve great achievements of historical significance so that our country can have the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it is today.
