Dien Bien kicks off the first social housing project in the province

On the morning of June 19, VCN Investment Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project in the new urban area north of Hoang Van Thai - Khe Chit street (Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien province).

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of VCN Investment Joint Stock Company (investor) - said that the project is being implemented to contribute to solving housing needs for low-income people, officials, civil servants, public employees, laborers and policy beneficiaries in the province.

According to the investor, the social housing project is built on an area of nearly 6,400 m2, with a total investment of over 70 billion VND.

The project includes 93 townhouses with areas from 60 - 70 m2/unit, 2-3 floors high. Expected to be completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2027.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Luong - Deputy Director of Dien Bien Department of Construction - said that this is the first social housing project implemented in the province, marking an important starting point in realizing the Party and State's policy on social housing development.

Leaders of the Department of Construction also requested the investor to focus resources on finance, human resources and equipment, organize scientific construction, ensure quality, progress, labor safety and environmental sanitation.
