Trade unions give gifts to support workers in difficult circumstances in Khanh Hoa

On the morning of June 19, at Thanh Hai Industrial Park (Bao An ward, Khanh Hoa province), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) visited, encouraged and presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash, to union members and workers in units with a large number of workers in the area.

Receiving the support gift, Ms. Phan Thi Kim Phuong, a worker at Phong Phu Textile Joint Stock Company, emotionally said that she is the main breadwinner in the family, her husband is ill and cannot work, and her child is sick and needs regular care.

According to Ms. Phuong, the gift from the Trade Union organization is a practical source of encouragement, helping the family alleviate difficulties.

Vietsun Ninh Thuan Investment Co., Ltd. currently has nearly 1,300 workers in the garment export sector. On this occasion, many union members in particularly difficult circumstances received support from the program.

According to Mr. Nhu Hong Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, in the past time, businesses and grassroots trade unions have always strived to ensure jobs, increase income, fully implement regimes and policies, and organize cultural and spiritual activities for employees.

Among the cases supported, Ms. Truong Thi Hoa, a worker at Vietsun Ninh Thuan Investment Co., Ltd., could not hide her emotion.

Ms. Hoa herself has goiter but does not have the conditions to go for examination, and is also the main breadwinner raising two children to study, taking care of her elderly mother and disabled older brother. Her husband has spinal cord disease, has surgery but cannot work yet.

Today's gift is very meaningful to me. Every concern is a valuable source of encouragement for the family to continue to overcome difficulties," Ms. Hoa shared.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung said that the Trade Union organization always pays attention to jobs, labor productivity and income of union members and workers.

The supportive gifts show the Trade Union's companionship with workers in difficult circumstances, and at the same time encourage them to continue to strive to rise up and actively work and produce.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung also requested businesses to pay more attention to female workers, create conditions to organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities to improve spiritual life, helping workers stay with businesses for a long time.
