Lam Dong youth firmly believe in contributing in the new era

On June 19, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) of Lam Dong province, term 2026 - 2029, took place in a solemn session with the participation of 300 delegates representing more than 621,000 young people throughout the province.

This is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the association organization and youth movement after the merger of three provinces Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.

Attending the congress were Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam Youth Federation; Mr. Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; representatives of leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with leaders of departments and branches of the province.

Many imprints in association work

In the period 2024 - 2026, association work and youth movement achieved many outstanding results, completing and exceeding many set targets.

The movement "I love my Fatherland" has been widely deployed, attracting more than 853,000 turns of members and youth to participate in volunteer activities for the community.

Associations at all levels supported 118 innovative startup projects; provided career counseling to more than 50,000 young people and introduced jobs to nearly 38,000 people.

The digital transformation movement continues to spread with 1,502 "Digital Literacy" and "Community Digital Technology Team" teams, supporting more than 36,000 people to access digital platforms and online public services.

With the action slogan "Lam Dong Youth: Patriotic - Aspirational - Solidarity - Pioneering - Creative - Confidently stepping into a new era", the congress set out 12 key targets in the 2026 - 2029 term, in which striving to have 1 million young people participate in volunteer activities.

During the term, 60 innovative startup projects will be supported; career counseling for 120,000 young people and support and training on artificial intelligence and digital transformation for 400,000 young people.

Promoting the pioneering role of youth

Speaking to direct at the congress, Mr. Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the outstanding results of association work and youth movement in the past time.

Mr. Sy requested associations at all levels to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; strengthen revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle education; care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of members and youth.

At the same time, creating an environment for young people to promote the spirit of pioneering and creativity, master science and technology, digital transformation, entrepreneurship and international integration, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam Youth Federation, proposed that union organizations at all levels in the province continue to strongly innovate their operating methods, putting the legitimate needs and aspirations of youth at the center.

According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Lam Dong has many advantages with a "highland - forest - sea" development space, it is necessary to create conditions for young people to promote their role in starting a business, creativity, digital transformation and participating in socio-economic development.

At the congress, delegates consulted and elected 71 members to participate in the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lam Dong province term I, term 2026 - 2029. Ms. H'Hong was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lam Dong province term I.
