More than 20,000 people at risk of interrupting receiving pensions and social insurance allowances in July 2026

To ensure the payment of pensions and monthly social insurance allowances to the right beneficiaries, in accordance with regulations, avoid interruption, and contribute to ensuring social security, Hanoi City Social Insurance proposes that cases that have not re-established authorization letters to receive pensions quickly carry out procedures before June 30, 2026.

Hanoi City Social Insurance informs people of some important notes on authorizing the receipt of pensions and social insurance allowances.

Accordingly, cases of authorizing the receipt of pensions and social insurance allowances implemented before July 1, 2025 are valid until the end of June 30, 2026 (according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance No. 41/2024/QH15, the document authorizing others to receive pensions and social insurance allowances on behalf of others has a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of establishment).

Previously, from April 18, 2026 to now, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance, Social Insurance agencies have coordinated with the City Public Administration Service Center and branches, City Post Office and Central Post Offices to support people in the Capital to certify authorization signatures to receive pensions and social insurance allowances.

As of June 17, 2026, nearly 72,000 people have re-established new powers of attorney or transferred pensions and social insurance allowances to their official accounts. Currently, there are still over 20,000 people who have not re-established power of attorney procedures.

To ensure the payment of pensions and monthly social insurance allowances to the right beneficiaries, in accordance with regulations, avoid interruption and contribute to ensuring social security in the area, Hanoi Social Insurance proposes that for cases where the authorization to receive pensions has not been re-established, quickly carry out procedures before June 30, 2026.

In case of continued authorization: The beneficiary submits the authorization document (which has been certified) according to the provisions of law attached to the request document (Form 14-HSB). In case of receiving directly through the principal account: Create a request document (Form 14-HSB).

Places to receive authorized dossiers: Social Insurance Agency (submit directly or through postal services); receiving points of the Public Administration Service Center; Central Post Offices. In case of requesting transfer of pensions and social insurance allowances to the beneficiary's account, it can be done through the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal: https://dichvucong. baohiemxahoi. gov. vn.

In addition, Hanoi City Social Insurance encourages beneficiaries to receive pensions and social insurance allowances through the personal account of the beneficiary's principal.
