Vietnamese table tennis has 4 medals at the Southeast Asian Youth Championship
The Vietnamese table tennis team did not win a gold medal at the 2026 Southeast Asian Youth Championship held in Singapore.
Participating in the 2026 Southeast Asian Youth Championship, Vietnamese table tennis players tried their best to compete but failed to reach any finals.
The tournament ended on the evening of April 19 in Singapore after the events including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's team, women's team of the U15 and U19 age groups took place.
The Vietnamese table tennis team won 4 bronze medals. The achievements came from athletes Nguyen Huy Cuong (men's singles U15), Hoang Tra My/Le Hoang Linh Dan (women's doubles U15) and Tran Thi Dieu Linh/Bui Thi Bao Vy (women's doubles U19), women's team U19.
This year's tournament attracts athletes from 9 countries in Southeast Asia to compete. We have won 3 gold medals at the 2024 Southeast Asian Youth Championship and 1 gold medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Championship. Unfortunately, this year, young Vietnamese tennis players have no gold medal achievements.
In Singapore this year, the Vietnamese youth table tennis team that competed included Nguyen Hoang Lam, Nguyen Binh Tru, Do Manh Luong, Nguyen Van Nam, Vu Van Vuong, Nguyen Huy Cuong, Dinh Trong Khoi Nguyen, Nguyen Xuan Phuc (male) and Tran Dieu Linh, Bui Thi Thao Vy, Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Luong Bao Han, Hoang Tra My, Le Hoang Linh Dan, Hoang Anh Nguyet, Ngo Thi Bao Ly (female).
In the overall ranking, the Malaysian team holds the No. 1 position with 7 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals.
