General Secretary, President and First Lady begin official visit to Thailand
General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation arrived in Udon Thani province, Thailand.
On the afternoon of May 27, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, arrived at Udon Thani International Airport (Udon Thani province), beginning an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife from May 27-29.
Welcoming General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation at the airport, the Thai side included: Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand Watcharaphon Khaokham; Leaders of Udon Thani province...

On the Vietnamese side were: Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung and his wife; Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife; officials of the Embassy, Vietnamese Consulate General and the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
Immediately after landing at Udon Thani International Airport, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, came to offer incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Relic Site; and met with the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
The official visit of General Secretary and President To Lam, his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation to Thailand this time shows Vietnam's high appreciation for relations with Thailand as well as with Southeast Asia.
This is also an opportunity for senior leaders of the two countries to exchange in-depth views on major orientations to effectively implement the new cooperation framework, thereby creating more momentum for bilateral relations in the coming time.
