A statement from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 27 stated: At the invitation of Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr and his wife, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, will pay a state visit to the Philippines from May 31 to June 1, 2026.
