Strong trade unions create a reliable support for workers from the grassroots level

The workers' belief in the trade union organization

Developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (GTUs) has always been identified as a key task to expand the organization, care for and better protect the rights of workers. With many flexible approaches, trade union levels have created a positive spillover effect in businesses.

The grassroots trade union of Hang Dai Long An Co., Ltd. Branch was established with 248 union members, becoming a place for workers to send their thoughts and protect their rights. Mr. Doan The Truong - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union said that the trade union will continue to consolidate the organization, improve the quality of operations, and become a fulcrum for workers.

Volunteering to join the trade union organization, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhanh - a worker at Hang Dai Long An Co., Ltd. Branch said that he is excited to have more support in his work, to promote his voice at the enterprise and to have more motivation to stick with it for a long time, contributing to the sustainable development of the enterprise.

At Ty Xuan Co., Ltd., the work of developing union members and improving the quality of trade union activities is increasingly going deeper. Since the beginning of the year, the grassroots trade union has newly admitted 767 union members, bringing the total number to nearly 19,000 union members.

Representing newly admitted union members in this year's Workers' Month, Ms. Tran Thi Tu Nha - Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. emotionally said that being in the ranks of the trade union is a source of pride, and also a motivation to continue working hard and contributing to the business.

According to Mr. Le Van Tien - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ty Xuan Co., Ltd., the development of more union members not only improves the quality of trade union activities but also contributes to gathering and uniting workers, building an increasingly strong trade union organization.

Promoting the development of union members, expanding trade union organizations

According to the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), in the first 6 months of 2026, the whole province newly developed more than 13,500 union members, reaching over 51% of the annual plan; established 26 grassroots trade unions, reaching over 50% of the set target.

In this year's Workers' Month alone, trade union levels have developed 6,867 union members and newly established 14 grassroots trade unions. Currently, the whole province has 5 commune and ward trade unions; 631 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions with more than 175,412 union members.

The results achieved show the efforts of trade union levels in expanding the organization, enhancing the attractiveness to workers, and gradually building an increasingly strong trade union organization, meeting the requirements in the new situation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Chau Ward, Chairwoman of the Ward Trade Union - said that the establishment of the ward trade union meets the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; and will focus on protecting the rights and promptly removing difficulties for workers.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation - requested the executive committee of grassroots trade unions, commune and ward trade unions to urgently develop working regulations, assign specific tasks to each member associated with each assigned field.

Along with that, trade union levels continue to promote propaganda of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; pay attention to improving the political, legal, and professional qualifications of union members and workers to meet the requirements in the new situation.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the trade union organization must always take workers as the center, promote the role of bridge between businesses and workers, care for life and promptly protect the legitimate and lawful rights of union members.
