Doctor CKII Duong Anh Quan - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Hue Central Hospital said that studying and following Uncle Ho is always implemented by the Trade Union in a direction that closely follows reality, associated with the political tasks of the unit to select appropriate and practical content.
In the specific environment of the medical industry, Ho Chi Minh's ethical standards are not limited to slogans but are concretized by each code of conduct, each action of caring for patients.
This is clearly shown in promoting the implementation of "renovation of style and service attitude", strictly implementing 12 medical ethics, building the image of a dedicated and responsible doctor. Each official, union member, and worker both preserves the qualities of "a good doctor like a mother", and preserves the kindness and gentleness characteristic of Hue culture in communicating with patients and their families.
Many patients were moved when they received simple encouragement from doctors in the most difficult moments. For many people, that dedication not only helps heal physically but also adds faith to overcome illness.
In parallel with practicing medical ethics, the hospital's staff and union members also constantly improve their professional qualifications, promote the application of information technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in diagnosis and treatment.
It is this constantly learning spirit that has contributed to making Hue Central Hospital one of the leading organ transplant centers in the country.
To date, the hospital has successfully performed nearly 2,600 tissue and organ transplants; becoming one of the few units to successfully perform the "heart, liver, kidney" organ transplant trio, contributing to bringing Vietnam's name on the world heart transplant map. Heart, liver, kidney transplant techniques, bone marrow - stem cell transplants, corneal transplants... are routinely deployed with a high success rate, creating more life opportunities for thousands of patients" - Specialist Doctor II Duong Anh Quan said.
Behind those professional achievements is the solidarity and consensus of the collective of officials, union members, and workers - people who always see studying and following Uncle Ho as motivation to improve themselves and enhance professional responsibility.
Every year, on February 27 - Vietnamese Doctors' Day, the hospital organizes a commemoration ceremony combined with specialized activities on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style. Simple stories about Uncle Ho continue to be spread through Zalo groups of trade unions, websites, fan pages of the hospital or in daily and weekly meetings at centers, departments, and rooms.
Studying and following Uncle Ho is therefore no longer a timely movement but has become a cultural feature in the professional life of the medical staff here.
These efforts have been recognized with many noble titles. The grassroots hospital trade union has been continuously ranked as excellently completing tasks in 2023, 2024 and 2025 by the Vietnam Medical Union.
