Professional standards from movements to learn and follow Uncle Ho

Amidst the busy operating pace of the aviation service industry - where every minute, every second requires accuracy, safety and professionalism, trade union officials of the grassroots trade union of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Branch, Vietnam Region (Vietnam Branch Grassroots Trade Union) still silently spread the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho with specific and close actions.

Recently, on the occasion of the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Vietnam Branch Grassroots Trade Union was one of the collectives honored for its outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style" in the period 2023 - 2025.

Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hien - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation Branch, Vietnam region, said that the unit has widely deployed professional ethics standards associated with the specific characteristics of the aviation industry according to the direction of the Branch Party Committee.

Values such as "responsibility - discipline - professionalism - dedicated service to customers - ensuring aviation safety and security" are thoroughly grasped to all union members and employees.

In a high-pressure working environment, where each position contributes to ensuring safety for thousands of flights, building a standard working style and sense of responsibility is not only a professional requirement but also becomes a cultural feature of the collective.

Not stopping at propaganda, trade union levels also created many emulation movements for union members to participate in studying and raising political awareness. Many officials and union members actively responded to contests on Party work such as "Golden Hammer and Sickle", online contests to learn about the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels.

Those efforts have brought proud results. In 2023, an individual of the unit won the Third Prize for an excellent work participating in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award of the Central Business Bloc.

By 2024, the Party Committee of the Branch was awarded the Third Prize "Excellent Collective Typical Participating in the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award of the Central Business Bloc", and at the same time, individuals won the First Prize with excellent works participating in the block level competition.

One of the highlights of the grassroots Trade Union of the Branch is always focusing on creating motivation for workers through timely rewards. In addition to emulation titles at the preliminary and final reviews, many collectives and individuals have been unexpectedly commended for their outstanding contributions in production and business and professional task performance.

If from July 2022, only 41 individuals were rewarded unexpectedly, by 2023 this number increased to 273 individuals and 22 collectives. In 2024, there were 194 individuals and 31 collectives commended; in 2025 alone, there were 314 individuals and 65 collectives honored.

Trips to the source nurture responsibility

In parallel with labor and production emulation, activities to the source, thematic activities to study and follow Uncle Ho are also regularly organized with the participation of trade union organizations and Party cells.

Trips to the statue of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu in Quang Nam in the past, the Nguyen Sinh Sac memorial area, Xeo Quit relic, Tram Forest Provincial Party Committee base in Dong Thap, Cu Chi tunnels, Uncle Ho's hometown in Nghe An or martyrs' cemeteries... have left many emotions for union members.

Many workers shared that after those trips, they understood more about the value of peace, about the sacrifices of previous generations, thereby further appreciating their work and responsibilities today.

With those outstanding results, the grassroots Trade Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation Branch, Vietnam region continuously received the Comprehensive Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023, 2024 and Comprehensive Certificates of Merit in 2025...
