More than 100 contestants compete at the Lai Chau Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer Contest

The Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer Contest has the participation of over 100 contestants from 10 teams, belonging to 10 grassroots Trade Unions including: Lai Chau Power Company; Lai Chau Clean Water Joint Stock Company; Provincial General Hospital; Provincial Center for Disease Control; Tan Uyen General Hospital; Pa Ha General Hospital; Muong Te General Hospital; Than Uyen General Hospital; Sin Ho General Hospital; Tam Duong General Hospital.

The teams went through 3 parts of the competition, including: greeting; multiple-choice test on knowledge of Good Safety and Hygiene Officers and situation handling; practical operations.

Speaking at the Contest, Mr. Luong Xuan Truong - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that occupational safety and health is not only a mandatory requirement in production labor but also an important factor in protecting the lives and health of workers, contributing to improving labor productivity and sustainable development of agencies, units, and businesses.

The contest closely follows the reality of production labor at the grassroots level, focusing on skills in identifying unsafe risks, handling fire and explosion incidents, electric shock, first aid for victims, preventing occupational diseases and implementing the provisions of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health.

At the end of the Contest, the Organizing Committee presented flags and awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes overall to 6 delegations; awarded Certificates to 4 delegations winning Consolation Prizes. In which, the First Prize overall belonged to the Trade Union of the Provincial General Hospital.
