Dialogue between workers and leaders of Phu Loi ward, HCMC

On May 27, Phu Loi Ward Trade Union coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Phat Trien Co., Ltd. (Phu Loi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the "May Dialogue" program with the theme "Morning Coffee - Connecting Trade Union Belief".

Attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thuy Minh Ha - Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Deputy Head of Working Group No. 8 for area management; Mr. Le Thanh Long - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Phu Loi ward; Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Loi ward, along with representatives of businesses and 50 workers and laborers.

At the program, workers had exchanges, wishing local leaders to strictly manage rent, electricity and water prices; wishing to access small loans to stabilize their lives; proposing that localities continue to ensure security and order in boarding house areas; proposing that localities and Ho Chi Minh City build more social housing and affordable housing for workers.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Thanh Long - Secretary of Phu Loi Ward Party Committee visited and encouraged workers and laborers.

Mr. Le Thanh Long highly appreciated the enterprise's efforts in maintaining jobs and stable income for workers. In addition, the company has many activities to care for workers' lives, organize quality meals, and build a cool working environment.

Mr. Le Thanh Long said that Phu Loi ward always pays attention to the development of businesses and improving the lives of workers. In the coming time, the ward will continue to improve the quality of education and healthcare in the area to meet the needs of people and workers. In addition, the ward will continue to manage strictly to ensure security and order so that workers can live and work in a safe environment.

Regarding social housing, leaders of Phu Loi ward said that Ho Chi Minh City is promoting a strategy to develop social housing and long-term rental housing. These are considered strategic pillars to transform the form from "temporary boarding" to "long-term stable".

In addition, the locality also mobilized landlords not to increase room rents or reduce room rates for workers facing difficulties. At the same time, the ward will also coordinate with the trade union to organize welfare programs to support workers in difficult circumstances.

At the program, the organizers presented 10 gifts to support workers in difficult circumstances working at Phat Trien Co., Ltd.
