Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat emphasized: "Supervision activities, grasping information on hot issues as well as key projects of the province. Through supervision activities, it aims to detect inadequacies, limitations, and shortcomings of mechanisms and policies so that the working delegation can make recommendations and proposals to competent authorities for adjustment and amendment".

In mid-August 2026, the working group conducted a field survey of the construction of inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in border communes.

School projects are being implemented in 7 border communes of Gia Lai with a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND. When completed, the projects are expected to serve more than 7,000 students, where learning conditions are still lacking and the area is remote.

The project is implemented according to Notice Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in building schools in border communes.

At the survey, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat requested the investor and contractor to focus manpower, equipment, and organize "overtime shifts" to ensure progress. At the same time, pay attention to the quality of the project, supplement essential auxiliary items such as electricity systems, green trees, and school landscape creation.

The working delegation requested the Department of Education and Training to have a plan to operate schools stably, not to let teacher shortages occur. At the same time, plan to recruit, contract, and assign teachers from surplus areas to shortage areas, prioritizing remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas.

The Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council organized a session to explain and question leaders and heads of agencies and units to focus on clarifying issues related to investment and development of rural transport infrastructure; management, use, and exploitation of public assets, focusing on housing belonging to public assets managed by the Department of Construction.

These are practical contents, directly impacting the efficiency of management, administration, and use of state resources as well as the rights and interests of the people.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung said that it is necessary to focus on clarifying the effectiveness of management and exploitation of public assets; the handling of vacant and degraded assets; cases of using but not completing contracts; the situation of prolonged rent arrears and responsibility in organizing implementation.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that public assets must be advised by the Department of Construction to the Provincial People's Committee to manage them strictly, exploit them for the right purpose, effectively, and avoid the risk of wasting state resources.

Regarding the disbursement of public investment, although the disbursement rate of the province reached over 60% of the central government's assigned plan, compared to the plan and resources set out by the province, it only reached about 56%; therefore, the disbursement progress still has many issues that need to be focused on solving.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to drastically direct the implementation of public investment tasks, especially disbursement and finalization of capital. The Provincial People's Committee urgently reviews all projects that are being implemented but are facing difficulties and risks of slow disbursement, clarifying the causes, responsibilities and progress of handling for each project.

At the same time, classify and evaluate the capacity of investors, agencies, units and localities that have not well implemented disbursement work to have measures to monitor, urge, remind and review responsibilities when necessary.

The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council determine that disbursement results are one of the important criteria for evaluating the leadership, direction and organizational capacity of the head.
