11-month-old baby has high fever and convulsions in taxi, traffic police provide timely support

On the morning of September 13, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police said that at about 7:25 pm on September 12, Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Trong and Captain Nguyen Viet Anh - officers of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, were on duty to ensure traffic order and safety in the Truong Chinh - Lang intersection area when they received a request for support from a taxi driver.

In the car at this time, there was an 11-month-old baby with high fever and convulsions, the family needed to take him to the National Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

Realizing that the baby's condition needed urgent emergency care, the working group reported to the Team Command. Immediately after that, the unit directed the working group to urgently use specialized vehicles to open roads and support taxis to take the patient to the National Children's Hospital as soon as possible.

Mr. N.V.Q (born 2001, residing in Hung Yen, patient's father) - said that his child is N.N.Y. N (11 months old). In the afternoon of September 12, the family gave the child fever-reducing medicine because the child had a high fever. However, at more than 6 pm, the child continued to have a high fever and convulsions. The family immediately took a taxi from Hung Yen to take the child to the National Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

Due to moving during rush hour, when entering the inner city area, the car moved with difficulty. Arriving at Nga Tu So area, realizing that the child's condition was critical, the driver stopped the car at the traffic police station on duty to ask for support.

“Immediately after we reported the emergency situation, the traffic police officers on duty at the station used specialized vehicles to open the way to take my child to the National Children's Hospital. With timely support, we conveniently took the child to the hospital for emergency treatment. The child has passed the critical condition, and doctors are continuing to monitor and treat him,” Mr. Q shared.

Before the timely support of traffic police officers and soldiers, Mr. Q, on behalf of the family, sent his thanks to the officers and soldiers who helped the family when the child was in a critical situation.

In such situations, officers and soldiers always determine that supporting and protecting people's lives and health is their responsibility," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Thanh - Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 shared.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Thanh, besides the task of ensuring traffic order and safety, in the past time, officers and soldiers of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 have always proactively supported people when encountering incidents and urgent situations on the road.
