The brave action of the Army Major moved many people

Not afraid of danger, ready to save people

At about 9:40 am on September 12, Major Tran Van T (born in 1987, Battalion Commander of Battalion 3, Infantry Regiment 568, Hung Yen Provincial Military Command) was driving a motorbike on his way back to his unit on duty. When he reached the middle of Bo bridge (in Tra Ly ward, Hung Yen province), he discovered a person intending to commit suicide.

Not abandoning the victim, Major Tran Van T turned the car around, got out to intervene and encourage. After that, when he returned to get his motorbike, this person suddenly jumped into the Tra Ly River.

Discovering the incident, Major Tran Van T immediately took off his uniform and personal belongings and jumped into the river to rescue people.

When approaching the victim struggling under the water, due to the strong current, both were swept away.

At about 10:15 am on the same day (September 12), Infantry Regiment 568 received a report from people about the incident. The unit quickly arrived at the Bo bridge area to direct the search and collect relevant information.

People hope for a miracle for soldiers

Faced with a dangerous situation, Major Tran Van T did not hesitate, jumped into the fast-flowing river to rescue people. Major Tran Van T's actions made many witnesses moved and admired.

Present at the Bo bridge area where Major Tran Van T jumped into the river to save people, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (Tra Ly ward, Hung Yen province) said: "When I heard the news about the incident, I could not help but be moved by the brave action of the soldier, ready to save people in an emergency situation. I and the people only hope that a miracle will come to Mr. T.".

Also unable to hide her worry, Ms. Tran Hang (in Thai Binh ward, Hung Yen province) shared: "From yesterday (September 12), immediately after knowing about the incident, I moved to the Bo bridge area, many people gathered here, hoping that the functional forces would soon find Major Tran Van T. This morning, when going to the market, I still took the opportunity to go to the search area and pray that a miracle would come to the brave soldier".

With the people, Major Tran Van T's actions not only show the bravery and responsibility of a soldier but also spread a beautiful image, the spirit of being ready to help others in distress.

As of the morning of September 13, functional forces and Rescue Team 116 are still actively searching for Major Tran Van T and the person who jumped off the bridge.
