Speaking at the opening, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that 2026 is an important year.

This is the first year that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has implemented the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and concretized the Party's guidelines and resolutions on building the working class, innovating and improving the quality of trade union activities at all levels, meeting the requirements in the new situation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, the model of commune and ward trade unions has been stipulated in the Party's documents and the Charter of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union.

This is not only an organizational adjustment but also an innovation step to strengthen the role of the Trade Union organization in accordance with the 2-level local government model.

Commune and ward trade unions are models close to grassroots levels, union members and workers. This is also the place to directly implement the policies of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and higher-level trade unions with grassroots levels.

However, this model is still new and poses many new requirements.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that among the trainees, there are officials who have had a long working process and accumulated practical experience.

In addition, there are officials who are assigned tasks for the first time to participate in leading, managing or directly deploying trade union activities at commune and ward levels.

Therefore, equipping knowledge, skills, methods and practical experience to help trade union officials quickly approach tasks and properly perform assigned functions and powers is a necessary requirement.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor develops training programs in a practical and focused direction, closely following the operating requirements of commune and ward trade unions.

Through the training class, the team of trade union officials is updated with knowledge and exchanged experiences, thereby meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
