Vietnam Education Union launches Workers' Month 2026

On April 16, in Gia Lai, the Vietnam Education Union organized the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month - Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026; deploying propaganda training in 2026.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union - said that in the past time, occupational safety and health, health care and labor protection in the Education sector have been concerned, contributing to ensuring stable and safe working conditions for officials, teachers and workers.

Responding to the program launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Education Union is implementing Workers' Month - Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 with the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age".

To implement effectively, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An proposed that trade union levels strengthen propaganda and dissemination of laws; raise awareness and compliance with regulations on occupational safety and health in the entire industry.

Trade union levels proactively coordinate with professional departments to organize reviews, assessments, and identification of hazards and harmful factors in the workplace; promptly propose solutions to overcome and ensure safe working conditions, especially in laboratories, research facilities and high-risk areas.

Promote research and application of science and technology, especially artificial intelligence in occupational safety and health management and supervision; build an early warning system, improve the capacity to analyze and forecast risks to prevent and minimize labor accidents and occupational diseases.

With the spirit of "Safety is paramount, people are the center", I call on each official, teacher, and worker to act more drastically, proactively and responsibly. Each union member is a propagandist; each educational institution is a bright spot in the culture of safety, friendliness, Green - Clean - Beautiful", Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An emphasized.

Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Education Union presented a gift worth 20 million VND to Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem - a young scientist who successfully restored the Sa Huynh and Cut royal sticky rice varieties.

At the same time, gifts were presented to 10 union members in difficult circumstances, each gift including 2 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 550,000 VND.

At the conference, the Vietnam Education Union organized a training course on propaganda work, with the focus being the application of artificial intelligence in communication.
