Vietnam Education Union conducts professional training, promotes protection of rights
Gia Lai - Vietnam Education Union organizes professional training for Trade Unions, improves grassroots operational skills and protects workers' rights.
On the afternoon of April 15, in Gia Lai, the Vietnam Education Union in coordination with Quy Nhon University organized a Professional Training Conference on Trade Union Affairs in 2026.
The program aims to foster knowledge, update professional skills, and contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of Trade Union activities in the new period.

At the training session, delegates focused on exchanging skills in organizing and operating grassroots trade union activities; sharing new ways to improve operational efficiency and meet practical requirements.
Mr. Phan Van Son - lecturer at the University of Trade Unions - presented thematic topics on the history of formation and development of the Trade Union organization; the relationship between the Party, the State and the Trade Union; the role and functions of the Trade Union, especially the grassroots Trade Union in the current period.
Lecturer Phan Van Son also suggested many solutions such as using Trade Union handbooks to manage information about union members, family circumstances, and living processes; strengthening solidarity and mutual support to improve professional qualifications and spiritual life for union members.

According to Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union, units need to focus on organizing activities during Workers' Month, including seminars and workshops on regimes and policies for teachers, workers and scientists; updating current regulations and scientific research processes.
At the same time, it is necessary to proactively review and propose recommendations related to science and technology activities; pay attention to praising and expressing gratitude to workers; build appropriate criteria to honor and reward scientists.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union also mentioned that some units still pay insurance for employees at the lowest level. At the same time, he said that in the coming time, the Union will strengthen inspection and review to ensure the legitimate rights of employees.

It is proposed that units strictly implement financial control of the Trade Union, ensure publicity, transparency, and use for the right purpose.
Regarding emulation and commendation work, according to new regulations, it will be implemented at the end of the year. However, to limit omissions of subjects, units need to proactively review and deploy the registration of commendation lists from July, ensuring legitimate rights for employees.
Immediately after the training activity, the Launching Ceremony to respond to Workers' Month - Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health 2026 will be held on the morning of April 16, showing the concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives, jobs and working environment of workers.
The launching ceremony called on officials, employees, and laborers to actively respond to emulation movements, raise awareness of complying with regulations on occupational safety and health, contributing to building a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment.
