Song Chu Company Trade Union spends nearly 40 million VND to care for union members on duty during floods

On September 29, Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that the Trade Union of Song Chu One-Member Limited Liability Company, Hac Thanh ward, has just deducted nearly 40 million VND from the grassroots trade union budget to visit and give gifts to encourage union members and workers who are working and on duty in 8 areas in the province.

The areas include Thach Thanh, Nong Cong, Nhu Thanh, Trieu Son, Quang Xuong, Dong Son, Thieu Hoa and Nghi Son. These are places where union members and workers of the Company are directly operating and managing works, irrigation systems, dams and performing tasks of prevention, control, and response to floods.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Van Thuy - Chairman of the Member Council of Song Chu One Member Limited Liability Company said that in conditions where many areas are deeply flooded and traffic is cut off, union members and workers still stick to the area, maintain duty, monitor the situation and promptly handle arising situations, contributing to ensuring project safety.

The activity of visiting and giving gifts aims to promptly encourage union members and workers to overcome difficulties and feel secure in performing their duties; and at the same time demonstrate the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and accompanying workers, especially during natural disasters and floods.
