Awarding prizes for the contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation among union members and youth
59 excellent works were honored at the award ceremony of the Political Commentary Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation among union members and youth in 2026.
On September 29, at the Vietnam Youth Academy, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the Second Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation among union members and youth, year 2026.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and central organizations.
On the Central Youth Union side were Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Secretaries of the Central Youth Union.
The Second Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation among union members and youth is being implemented by the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union from March 2026 according to Plan No. 450-KH/TWĐTN-CTĐ dated March 17, 2026.
This year's contest received 462,629 entries, an increase of 263,607 entries, equivalent to 132.45% compared to 2025 and equal to more than 200% of the target set for 2026.
The above results show the widespread spread of the Contest in all levels of the Youth Union and a large number of union members and youth; and at the same time show the concern, direction and widespread organization of implementation by provincial and city youth unions and affiliated unions.
The contest is organized with 6 types including Newspapers, Magazines, Radio, Television, Video and Graphics, creating space for union members and youth to express political content in many ways, suitable for the modern media environment.
The Judging Council organizes independent judging according to each type and unifies the award results based on the actual quality of the works.

At the Award Ceremony, 59 excellent works were honored, including 23 consolation prizes, 18 C prizes, 12 B prizes and 6 A prizes. The authors and groups of authors who won prizes were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Youth Union, along with souvenir cups and prize money according to the regulations of the Contest.
In addition to the awards for the works, the Contest also awarded the collective prize of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union as a collective with outstanding achievements in deploying, propagating, and mobilizing union members and youth to participate.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union said that from the reality of the first Contest, the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Youth Union determined that along with expanding the scale, it is more important to continue to innovate the organization method, so that the Contest becomes closer to young people and more suitable for the current media environment.
In that spirit, the Central Committee of the Youth Union has coordinated with partner units and technical support units to innovate implementation methods, focusing on applying digital technology throughout the organization process, especially continuing to promote the application of digital transformation in organizing the Contest.
The stages from receiving works, managing, voting to organizing the judging of the rounds are implemented on a digital platform, thereby creating favorable conditions for units in the implementation process, while contributing to ensuring the scientific, unified and transparent nature of the Contest.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, the success of this year's Contest is a basis for continuing to develop the Contest in the following years, so that the contest becomes more and more widespread and better reaches youth union members.
How to make the works of officials, union members, and youth across the country not only stop at being submitted to the contest, but truly become a valuable source of materials to serve the work of protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.
To well implement those requirements, the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union wishes that Youth Union levels, agencies, units and authors continue to promote effective ways of doing things, and at the same time boldly explore new methods, more suitable to the changes in the information environment and the reception needs of young people.
