Bakery owner in Lam Dong coordinates to return 1 billion VND to mistaken transferee
Lam Dong - A business household in Di Linh commune suddenly received 1 billion VND transferred by mistake and proactively reported to the police to coordinate the return.
On the afternoon of September 28, Lieutenant Colonel Luong Anh - Head of Di Linh Commune Police (Lam Dong) - said that the unit had just coordinated to handle a case of a business household receiving 1 billion VND transferred by mistake.
Previously, on September 7, the account of the business household "Su Su Bakery", registered under Mr. Tran Van Tuong's name, suddenly received 1 billion VND from a mistaken transfer transaction.
After more than half a month of waiting but not seeing the mistaken transferor contact him to receive the money back, Mr. Tuong went to Di Linh Commune Police to report.
On September 26, after receiving the report, Di Linh Commune Police quickly coordinated to verify; and at the same time worked with the bank to carry out the necessary procedures, returning the money to the wrongly transferred person according to the correct account number for which the transaction was carried out.
Di Linh Commune Police acknowledged and praised Mr. Tuong's honesty and responsibility.
The police recommend that when people detect money, property or transactions transferred incorrectly, they should promptly notify the functional agencies for guidance, verification and return to the owner.
Proactively coordinating to handle mistaken transfer transactions contributes to protecting the rights of money transferors, while spreading awareness of respecting other people's property in the community.
