500 tug of war athletes compete in Workers' Month in Bac Ninh
500 athletes compete at the tug-of-war competition within the framework of Workers' Month activities in Bac Ninh province.
On April 25, in the area of the Party Committee headquarters of Que Vo ward (Bac Ninh province), the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation jubilantly organized the first Workers' Tug of War (CNLĐ) Competition.
This is a key activity within the series of events in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
This year's competition attracted the large participation of 28 teams from grassroots trade unions directly under the Provincial Labor Federation. With a total of nearly 500 athletes (each team consisting of 16 male and female members), the atmosphere in the competition area became bustling and brilliant with the colors of sports uniforms of the units.
The teams are divided into 4 groups, competing in a knockout format to select the best names to enter the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
The contest is not only a place to compete for strength but also a testament to the spirit of borderless solidarity.
In particular, this year's tournament attracted a large number of union members to participate, including the impressive appearance of union members who are foreigners working in the province.
Typical are athletes from the Trade Union of Interplex Vietnam Precision Technology Co., Ltd. The presence of international friends in trade union shirts not only increases the attractiveness of the matches but also creates a beautiful cultural exchange and learning between civil servants, public employees and workers throughout the province. This affirms the goal of the contest in building a healthy playground, strengthening understanding and tightening solidarity.
In order to encourage the competitive spirit of the athletes, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation awarded a system of valuable prizes: 1 First Prize: Flag and cash prize of 10,000,000 VND; 1 Second Prize: Flag and cash prize of 8,000,000 VND; 6 Third Prizes: Each prize 6,000,000 VND; 20 Consolation Prizes: Each prize 4,000,000 VND.
The first CNLĐ Tug of War contest in 2026 has closed successfully, truly becoming a meaningful festival, contributing to promoting the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho" and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in the Bac Ninh province CNLĐ community.
