Connecting workers with businesses

Established in 2004 in Ea Dar Industrial Cluster, Viet Thang Production-Trading-Service Co., Ltd. specializes in producing boots, shoes, and sandals for many fields. Currently, the enterprise has 85 trade union members.

Over the years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - accountant, cum Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Viet Thang Production-Trading-Service Co., Ltd. (Ea Kar commune, Dak Lak province) has made many outstanding contributions in dialogue and collective bargaining.

Through dialogues at the workplace, most of the legitimate recommendations of employees have been received and resolved promptly by employers. The content focuses on salaries, bonuses, allowances, improving working conditions, ensuring labor safety and improving collective welfare.

In the period 2023-2025, dialogues have brought practical benefits. Many incomes and welfare regimes have been adjusted and supplemented with a total estimated benefit value of about 831 million VND.

On average, each worker receives an additional 5 million VND per year, contributing to improving their lives, creating peace of mind and long-term attachment to the business.

These results not only improve the rights of workers but also consolidate consensus, maintain stability, and build harmonious and sustainable labor relations in enterprises.

According to Ms. Hue, working in trade unions at non-state-owned enterprises always faces many difficulties. Workers are concerned about jobs, income, policies; while businesses are under pressure from production, market and costs.

Therefore, to harmonize the interests of all parties, trade union officials need to know how to listen, understand and choose appropriate ways of exchanging. Over the past time, the company's grassroots trade union has maintained periodic dialogues, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of employees.

Proposals related to salaries, bonuses, allowances, meals, working hours, labor environment or welfare are fully summarized for discussion with employers.

We always determine that collective bargaining is not a confrontation, but a process of sitting down together to find common ground. When workers are guaranteed legitimate rights, they will be assured to work and stick with them for a long time. Conversely, businesses also have stable human resources to develop production and business," Ms. Hue shared.

A support for workers in difficult times

Not only dedicated to trade union activities, Ms. Hue is also always close and sharing with union members and employees in the company. Many difficult cases, who once intended to quit their jobs, were promptly encouraged by her to continue to stick with the business.

Typically, Mr. Y Thai E Ban (resident in the locality). After his wife gave birth, the family economy struggled, he once planned to quit his job to find another job with a better income.

Knowing his situation, Ms. Hue kindly inquired and encouraged him to stay and work, and at the same time proposed that the company's leaders have support directions so that he can be assured and stick with it for a long time.
