The craftsman keeps the electricity on the plateau with discipline and perspicacy

At Dong Nai 3 Hydropower Plant (Dong Nai Hydropower Company), where the system operates continuously, technical workers are still working silently day and night to ensure smooth electricity flow.

Among them, Mr. Do Van Tien - an employee of Operation Workshop (PXVH) - is a typical example of responsibility in occupational safety and health.

Born in 1988, from Quang Ngai, attached to Dong Nai Hydropower Company from the early days, Mr. Tien clearly understands the nature of the job, where even a small mistake can lead to serious consequences.

Trusted by the collective to be elected as a safety and hygiene worker (ATVSV), he not only completed his professional tasks well but also regularly reminded and guided colleagues to comply with regulations on occupational safety and hygiene.

In each shift, he proactively checks the use of protective equipment, ensuring that safety equipment operates in accordance with procedures.

At the same time, he coordinates with the shift leader to organize shift safety meetings, disseminate regulations, and raise awareness of risk prevention for workers.

In addition, Mr. Tien regularly updates regulations and information about labor accidents and traffic accidents to share with colleagues, draw lessons learned and proactively prevent them.

In professional work, he is one of the electricians who actively proposes technical improvement initiatives, contributing to improving operational efficiency, limiting incidents, and ensuring stable system operation.

Thanks to the proactiveness and sense of responsibility of the collective, in the past time, the workshop has not had any labor accidents or fire and explosion incidents.

Recognizing those contributions, in 2026, Mr. Do Van Tien was awarded the title "Grassroots Emulation Soldier" in 2025 by Power Generation Corporation 1 and was honored by the Vietnam Electricity Group Trade Union as "Outstanding Safety and Hygiene Officer in 2026".

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company, said that at the company, when each individual works with a spirit of discipline and responsibility, they not only protect themselves but also contribute to building a safe and sustainable working environment for the entire unit.
