Dien Bien brings mobile job transaction sessions to communes and villages
Dien Bien - Many solutions have been implemented to connect and create jobs for ethnic minority workers.
Creating jobs for workers is one of the tasks that Dien Bien province is concerned about.
From the beginning of the year to now, nearly 3,000 workers have been employed, reaching nearly 30% of the assigned plan, an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year (the labor supply channel for businesses reached 1,706 people).
In which, the Employment Service Center (Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs) plays the role of "bridge" for workers. In the first quarter of 2026, the unit collected information from 125 companies and businesses with 6,820 recruitment information in and outside the country and provided it to 4,412 workers.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan - Head of Professional Affairs Department, Employment Service Center - said: "Previously, workers in remote and isolated communes had to travel very long distances to access information, causing many inconveniences.
Currently, we coordinate to organize right in the commune, inviting businesses and industrial parks to directly advise and recruit local workers. This approach has attracted a large number of people to participate in learning.

Through this direct connection, in the first 3 months of the year, 595 workers participated in interviews and nearly 500 of them were officially recruited to work at units and companies.
Along with that, key projects in the province are also creating a large demand for human resources. After the Tet holiday, many construction enterprises have launched campaigns, coordinating with commune authorities to propagate and recruit local workers to ensure the construction progress of projects.
Despite achieving many positive results, the work of creating jobs for ethnic minority workers in Dien Bien still faces many difficulties.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Phuong - Deputy Director in charge of the Dien Bien Provincial Employment Service Center - acknowledged that the number of companies and businesses in the province is small. However, labor recruitment in the locality still faces many difficulties due to the low level of labor qualifications, and most of the labor has not been trained.
In addition, a part of workers still have a mentality of "fearing going far away", only wanting to work near home or maintain pure agricultural production. Not boldly registering to work at businesses outside the province or participating in labor export.
Workers come to carry out procedures to receive unemployment benefits and announce job search according to regulations. However, many cases are not actively looking for new jobs, mainly fulfilling obligations to continue receiving benefits.
According to Mr. Phuong, in the coming time, the center will continue to promote online and mobile job transaction sessions. In particular, the focus will be on remote, isolated, and ethnic minority areas.
