Da Nang Workers' and Civil Servants' Sports Festival attracts 2,500 participants

This year's sports festival is organized on an expanded scale, recording the largest number of participants ever, especially after the administrative boundaries were adjusted. This is a key activity in Workers' Month, towards the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day. Athletes compete in 5 sports including football, badminton, table tennis, pickleball and tug of war. The atmosphere of competition is exciting, spreading the spirit of solidarity and health training among workers.

The qualifying round matches are arranged in the central and southern areas of the city, creating favorable conditions for union members to participate. The organization time lasts until the end of May, helping many units have conditions to arrange forces to compete, and at the same time maintain a regular rhythm of sports activities.

In parallel with the competition activities, many programs to care for workers were implemented. More than 1,000 gifts were given to union members in difficult circumstances. The "Trade Union Shelter" support program continued to be implemented, contributing to improving housing conditions. A mobile worker fair was also organized, providing essential goods at preferential prices.

Representatives of the organizing committee said that the sports festival is not only a sports playground but also has the meaning of connecting and creating motivation to work. This is an opportunity for workers to exchange, improve their spiritual life, and reduce pressure at work.

The combination of sports competition and social security activities makes this year's Workers' Month more practical. Through this, the role of the trade union organization continues to be affirmed in accompanying, caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
