Cao Bang - A vibrant emulation atmosphere, activities in response to Workers' Month are spreading throughout grassroots trade unions.

On April 24, information from the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation, recently at the artificial football field of the Provincial Training, Sports and Arts Competition Center, the 2026 Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers (CNVCLĐ) Football Tournament officially kicked off in a vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate and cheer.

The tournament is launched by the Provincial Labor Federation, towards celebrating the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026) and celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

Right from the early afternoon, teams representing grassroots trade unions were fully present, preparing carefully in terms of force, uniforms and fighting spirit. In the opening ceremony, each team successively debuted with flags, banners, slogans, showing the spirit of solidarity and determination to contribute.

The atmosphere on the field became bustling with the enthusiastic cheers of union members, workers and audiences. Affectionate handshakes and words of encouragement contributed to spreading the spirit of exchange and connection between units.

Right on the opening day, 8 teams entered the first matches with many attractive and dramatic plays. The players played with honesty and nobility, bringing beautiful performances, receiving positive responses from viewers.

According to the plan, the tournament will continue to take place on April 24-25 and closing and awarding ceremony will be held on April 25, 2026. This is a practical activity to promote the movement of physical exercise and sports among workers and employees, while creating a healthy playground, contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening cohesion in the trade union organization.

The football tournament is also one of the activities in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2026 launched by the Provincial Labor Federation.

Accordingly, the launching ceremony of Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on OSH is expected to take place on April 28 at the Provincial Conference Center, with the participation of more than 450 delegates, workers, civil servants, and laborers.

At the launching ceremony, many key contents will be deployed such as: assessing OSH work in 2025, deploying tasks for 2026; launching emulation movements; signing commitments to implement OSH; commending typical union members and workers; awarding support to workers who suffered work accidents, occupational diseases and union members in difficult circumstances.

In addition, many practical activities will be organized such as health check-ups, health consultations, free medicine distribution; legal and employment counseling; safe driving guidance; social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance policy counseling...

Through the series of activities, trade union levels continue to raise awareness and responsibility of agencies, units, and businesses in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; and at the same time promote improving working conditions and preventing work accidents and occupational diseases.

Workers' Month and Action Month on OSH 2026 are organized in association with many major events of the country, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations towards sustainable development.
