VGCL will honor 10 typical workers, civil servants and laborers
In the first 9 months of 2026, the coordination of propaganda between the VGCL and press agencies continued to be concerned, maintained and gradually improved in quality.
On October 13, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organized a press conference for publishing in the fourth quarter of 2026. Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour chaired the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien said that in the first 9 months of 2026, the coordination of propaganda between the VGCL and press agencies continued to be concerned, maintained and gradually improved in quality.
In which, press agencies focused on reflecting relatively comprehensively the activities of the VGCL and trade union levels, especially the contents directly related to union members and workers.
Information is deployed quickly and diversely in form. Besides traditional news and articles, many press agencies have focused on multimedia products, videos, infographics, reports, seminars, livestreams and content on digital platforms, contributing to expanding the scope of information access.
The practicality of information has been enhanced. Many contents have gone deep into reflecting the lives, jobs, incomes, thoughts, and aspirations of workers, civil servants, and laborers; reflecting good models, effective ways of doing things, typical union members and practical activities of grassroots trade unions.
The role of orienting public opinion and spreading the image of the Trade Union organization is promoted. Through press activities, the results of caring for, representing and protecting workers are widely informed, contributing to consolidating the trust of union members, workers and society in the Trade Union organization.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the VGCL affirmed that in the first 9 months of 2026, press, publishing and communication coordination between the VGCL and press agencies have been deployed relatively proactively, closely following the political tasks and work program of the Trade Union organization, contributing to propagating the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; reflecting the activities of the Trade Union organization, the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers; spreading the results in caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Leaders of the VGCL wished that press agencies would proactively propagate activities to implement the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress at all levels of trade unions, especially at the grassroots level; activities to care for Tet for union members and workers; prioritize contents directly related to the rights, interests, life, jobs and thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; strengthen propaganda of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on workers, laborers and trade union organizations; activities to care for, represent, and protect the rights of workers; emulation movements, grassroots trade union activities and advanced models and examples.
In particular, at the end of October 2026, the VGCL will organize the commendation of 10 typical workers nationwide; individuals commended as typical examples in the fields of good labor, creative labor; overcoming difficulties to rise up; protecting the Party, building Trade Union organizations; making many contributions to community activities; winning high prizes in national and international skills competitions... The VGCL will provide information soon for press agencies to focus on propaganda" - Ms. Thai Thu Xuong shared.
Along with that, the VGCL proposed that press and publishing agencies accompany and propagate the main activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour from now until the end of 2026, which are the ceremony to award the "Exemplary Enterprise for Workers" Award; activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in response to Vietnam Culture Day; Project to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; emulation plan towards the 100th Anniversary of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; activities to care for Tet Nguyen Dan 2027 for union members and workers; promptly grasp and promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of workers; trade union levels representing and participating in protecting the rights of workers, especially in cases of being owed salaries, owed social insurance or being illegally laid off; spreading good practices and effective models; promoting propaganda activities in response to the movement "Emulation for good labor, high productivity, good income" launched by the VGCL; fighting against false and distorted information from hostile subjects...
