Mr. Vo Khac Thai elected as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation

The Conference of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, term I, 2025 - 2030 (extraordinary meeting) on the afternoon of October 16th elected Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation before the merger) to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, term I, 2025-2030, replacing Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan.

At noon on the same day (October 16), the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also held a ceremony to award cadre decisions. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to assign and appoint Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, as Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The term of office is 5 years.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Khac Thai was moved to receive the trust of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to elect him to the position of Chairman of the City Labor Federation and hoped to receive the support of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the same time, Mr. Vo Khac Thai said that he will try his best in his new position, contributing to the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to well implement the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress (term 2026 - 2031), the I Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress term 2025 - 2030.

Mr. Vo Khac Thai was born on October 20, 1967, native of Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province (formerly), with a Bachelor of Public Administration, Senior in Political Theory, and was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam on March 3, 1988.

On June 18, 2024, Mr. Vo Khac Thai was elected Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation. After July 1, 2025, when Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau were merged into Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Thai held the position of Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
