On October 15, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai City Labor Federation visited and worked at Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Trieu ward, Dong Nai City).

Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. has about 45,000 workers working at 3 factories in Tan Trieu ward, Long Thanh ward and Tan Phu ward of Dong Nai City, the average income of workers is about 12.4 million VND/person/month.

Reporting to Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Ngo Duy Hieu on the work of caring for union members and workers, Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Company's grassroots Trade Union said: In the past 9 months, the trade union has built 7 Trade Union Warm Houses with a value of nearly 500 million VND (an average of 10 houses built each year); donated dream houses to 90 union members and workers who built new houses with a value of 450 million VND; Handed over Compassionate Embrace to 58 workers suffering from critical illnesses with an amount of nearly 2.8 billion VND, an average of nearly 48 million VND per worker; Family Support Association awarded to 26 families with deceased workers with an amount of more than 11 billion VND, each family received over 420 million VND.

Mr. Kim Si Jung - General Director of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that the company identifies employees as the core driving force determining the development of the business. Therefore, the company always strives to ensure job opportunities for employees (including disabled workers), improve the working environment, improve welfare, and protect the legitimate rights of employees.

Speaking to direct at the visit and working session, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu praised and highly appreciated the trade union activities at Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. He said that grassroots trade unions have been very creative in their care, clearly shown in the Mutual Assistance Association during the COVID-19 epidemic, which has supported about 20 cases of unfortunate workers who died with hundreds of millions of VND/case. Up to now, this Mutual Assistance Association is still continuing to maintain and operate effectively.

Concluding the visit and working session, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. strengthen strong digital transformation in trade union activities; Pay attention to caring for the health and spiritual life, improving a safe working environment for workers, reducing the risk of disease, preventing the risk of exhaustion; Continue to launch emulation to improve labor productivity and production efficiency.

Also at the visit and working session, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu presented 10 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at the Company.
