Visiting and supporting union members whose houses were burned down in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City - Union members in difficult circumstances and houses burned down by fire have been visited and encouraged by Trade Union levels, and given support of 10 million VND.
On May 20, Ngai Giao Commune Trade Union said that it had just coordinated with Working Group No. 5 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ); Grassroots Trade Union of Phuc Tien Footwear Production Co., Ltd. to visit, encourage, and provide support to union members in difficult circumstances in the area.
Previously, on March 6, the house where union member Le Thi Thanh Van (born in 1973) lived caught fire due to an electrical short circuit. The fire burned down all property and damaged the structure of the house where Ms. Van and her family were residing.
Ms. Van's family's circumstances are already difficult, as she is the main breadwinner in the family, raising 2 children to study; her husband is being treated for diabetes and severe liver disease, so they are very poor. The fire has made Ms. Van's family, which was already difficult, even more difficult.
Grasping the difficult circumstances of union members and workers, Ngai Giao Commune Trade Union has reported to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to consider supporting union member Le Thi Thanh Van. Through this, trade union levels have visited and encouraged, and provided support of 10 million VND to help union members' families overcome immediate difficulties.
The concern and care of the Trade Union organization has contributed to encouraging the spirit of union member Le Thi Thanh Van and her family. At the same time, it demonstrates the role of companionship and sharing of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers in times of difficulty and hardship.
