Grassroots trade unions in Ho Chi Minh City organize sports festivals with more than 1,000 workers participating

On the afternoon of April 26, the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Asia A Chau Door Industry Co., Ltd. (Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City) organized a sports festival to celebrate major holidays of the country.

The sports festival takes place right in the company premises with more than 1,000 workers and foreign experts participating in tug-of-war competitions.

This is a sports festival that union members and workers look forward to. The tournament has 16 participating teams representing departments and production units in the company. The teams competed enthusiastically under the enthusiastic cheers of colleagues.

In the end, Packaging Team 3 won first prize with a cup and a prize of 15 million VND, and the Hoc keo team won second prize with a prize of 8 million VND. The consolation prize-winning teams were awarded 5 million VND each. Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the company's grassroots trade union also added a bonus of 1 million VND for each participating team.

After participating in the sports festival, the grassroots trade union prepared an outdoor party with roasted chicken, sticky rice, bread, fruits and soft drinks for workers to celebrate together. The sports festival program brought joy to workers after a hard week of work.

Ms. Le Thi Huong said that this is an activity towards celebrating the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (March 10th of the lunar calendar), Southern Liberation Day (April 30th) and International Labor Day (May 1st). At the same time, the sports festival is also one of the activities for trade unions to take care of the lives of union members. Through the sports festival, union members and workers have fun together and strengthen solidarity in the business. In addition, the large bonus from the company contributes to material encouragement and creates a joyful and exciting atmosphere for workers during the holiday.
